What is sulforaphane?

Sulforaphane

Sulforaphane is a phytochemical obtained from the consumption of cruciferous vegetables, most notably broccoli. It is produced from necessary ingredients found in these vegetables: glucoraphanin, the glucosinolate precursor to sulforaphane, and myrosinase, an enzyme that interacts with glucoraphanin to convert it to sulforaphane.

Benefits

Sulforaphane supports cellular detoxification by stimulating Nrf2 which causes production of certain Phase 2 enzymes. Nrf2 upregulates protective enzymes and proteins to help protect cells from oxidative stress. The production of these enzymes also promotes antioxidant activity against free radicals, which can damage DNA, proteins, and lipids.

Detox

The body’s detoxification system consists of two major pathways, serving to manage cellular stress and imbalance in the body. Phase 1 enzymes, also known as Cytochrome P450 enzymes, initially process toxins entering the body into metabolites. Then, Phase 2 enzymes further support cellular health by detoxifying these potentially harmful metabolites to enhance excretion from the body. NQO1 is an important Phase 2 enzyme.

At present, we can only ship orders within the United States.

Within contiguous United States (not including Alaska & Hawaii)

Customer shall pay $4.95 for standard shipping (you should receive your order
within 3-5 business days) for all orders below $40.00 U.S. Dollars (“USD”). For
all orders totaling $90.00 USD or greater, standard shipping costs are waived.
If Customer would like express shipping service via UPS, customer shall pay the
list cost for this service.

Alaska & Hawaii
Customer shall pay $15.00 surcharge for standard shipping (you should receive your order within 3-5 business days) for all orders regardless of total. If Customer would like express shipping service via UPS, customer shall pay the list cost for this service.

Return Policy

To Our Valued Customers:

Below is an easy to follow procedure for the return of product to our company. Please remember the first step before returning product is for you to obtain an authorization number from our Customer Service Department.

Call 1-888-886-6442, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time to report concerns to the Customer Service Department of Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. ("Nutramax").
A representative of Nutramax will talk with you, our customer, and issue a Return Authorization number (RA) to you in order for you to return the product purchased from store.cosequin.com.
You will need to provide the following information: (1) Product name, size and quantity to be returned, (2) lot number and expiration date of product(s) to be returned (Customer Service can provide assistance in obtaining this information), and (3) reason for return. Once a RA is obtained, the product to be returned and a copy of the Return Authorization form shall be returned to: Nutramax Laboratories, Inc., 946 Quality Dr, Lancaster SC 29720, Attention: Returns Department, Cosequin Store.
Upon receipt of returns by Nutramax, credit may be placed onto customer's credit card or product may be replaced.
Damaged product or product sent in error by Nutramax will be picked up from customer via UPS.
Return of damaged product shall be returned in the damaged original packaging so that the damaged packaging can be used by Nutramax to facilitate a possible UPS inspection.
Items ordered incorrectly by you may still be returned, but the shipping cost is your responsibility.
Product shortage claims will need to be verified by Nutramax's Customer Service Department and, upon verification, missing product will be shipped promptly to you.

After 10 business days of receipt of product but within 30 business days of receipt of product:

Follow same procedure listed in 1, 2 and 3 above. The product can be returned if it is not opened, has no markings or has no damage to product carton and the product has at least one year before expiring. Otherwise, the product cannot be returned.
Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with this type of return.
Customer may either exchange such product for same product or alternate product of similar value.

Under all circumstances, when returning product to Nutramax, Nutramax is not responsible for any lost, damaged, illegible, mutilated, postage-due, or misdirected mail or shipments.
